Appointments for third parties (for your examinees):
Formal clinical examinations are of two types – “long” and “short” cases, and this depends on the complexity of the case. Long cases require significantly more time and effort, with more background reading, a comprehensive, forensic history and examination, and a detailed, comprehensive report (eg. CTP cases, DVA cases, WorkCover
common law cases, etc). Short cases aren't relatively as intensive (eg. WorkCover statutory cases, QSuper,
income protection assessments, etc).
There are two long case
appointment slots for all referrers every week (Tuesdays @ 13.30 hrs
and Wednesdays @ 09.00 hrs). There are four short case appointment slots
every week on Tuesdays @ 11.15 hrs, and Thursdays @ 08.00 hrs, 09.45 hrs,
and 11.15 hrs. Ideally, Independent Occupational Physicians will provide rapid response times for all appointments.
