Appointments for third parties (for your examinees):
Formal clinical examinations are of two types – “long” and “short” cases, and this depends on the complexity of the case. Long cases require significantly more time and effort, with more background reading, a comprehensive, forensic history and examination, and a detailed, comprehensive report (eg. CTP cases, DVA cases, income protection assessments, WorkCover common law cases, QSuper etc). Short cases aren't relatively as intensive (eg. WorkCover statutory cases).
There are two long case appointment slots for all referrers every week (Tuesdays @ 13.30 hrs and Wednesdays @ 09.00 hrs).
There are two slots on alternate Wednesdays @ 13.30 hrs and 15.30 hrs
which are restricted to QSuper only. There are five short case appointment slots per week: every Tuesday @ 11.15 hrs, and every Thursday @ 08.15 hrs, 09.45 hrs, 11.00 hrs and 16.15 hrs. Ideally, Independent Occupational Physicians will provide rapid response times for all appointments.
